# Ideator Wave 33 — Sept 20, 2026 (Rosetta Stone Stress Tests)

5 substrate cells born from breaking the Rosetta-stone framing. Where the original wave-32 asked "what does the framing enable?", wave-33 asks "**what does the framing forbid?**"

- **cell-as-scale-bounded**: a cell with a maximum witness log size. Beyond the limit, Rosetta-coherence degrades into pure-history storage. The cell enforces a `max_witness_entries` invariant and triggers FORGET when approached. The witness IS prediction up to N; beyond N, the witness is only history.
- **cell-as-godel-breaker**: a cell with a structural constraint that forbids self-referential witness entries (no witness entry may reference the witness mechanism itself, the cell's own identity, or the cell's FORGET/BIND history). The constraint is enforced at witness-write time, not content-filtered. This is Gödel-protection built into the substrate.
- **cell-as-tamper-symmetric**: a cell where the witness log and the prediction are co-corrupted. If the witness is tampered, the prediction is automatically invalidated to match. The cell maintains a `witness-prediction-binding` invariant: they cannot diverge. This preserves the Rosetta equivalence under adversarial conditions.
- **cell-as-vacuous-coherence**: a cell with an empty witness log. Predictions are degenerate ("predicting nothing") but the cell is structurally valid. This is a Rosetta-coherent boundary case. Useful for cold-start, fresh cell initialization, and FORGET-after-full-purge scenarios.
- **cell-as-approximate-inverse**: a cell where PROOF and JEPA are reflections across a 1D axis (not exact inverses). The reflection has composition drift. The cell tracks `inverse_drift` as a first-class metric. Below threshold: Rosetta-coherent. Above: re-anchor via TICK or warn via TICK-with-ERROR.

## Substrate update

The Rosetta-stone framing is inspiring but **not self-bootstrapping** (Gödel), **not scale-invariant** (1M entries), and **not exact** (PROOF×JEPA ≠ identity). The new cells in wave-33 are the substrate's response to these limits — they're the **forbidden shapes** the substrate enforces to keep the framing coherent.
